( Why Do You Treat Me This Way ) MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original Odeon Records very first High Fidelity Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1960 by Industrias Eléctricas y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records Chile), catalog number MSOD 8155, with machine etched matrix numbers R7XEA 19762 S1 (“S” inverted) in Side A and R7XEA 19763 S1 (“S” inverted) in Side B, with traditional green/silver Odeon Records labels, with big “Odeon” at top and large center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Kenny Lynch and early days of Rock’N’Roll, R&B and Pop music!!! “ Mountain Of Love ” was originally released in UK in May 1960 and the same year we got this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and additional information about rights society, play time of each song and original cash price, “E° 1,26”, printed in Side A. It’s really curious to see this record was released here in Chile because so far I know this single was only released in the UK, but every now and then some rarity like this surfaces and so, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of this single by Kenny Lynch , with Spanish-written titles and Odeon Records labels, a record in this very first Chilean press NEVER SEEN BEFORE and now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!! This single doesn’t come with a cover. Record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, light hairlines and soft scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, clear and clean, with only some spindle hole wear and a white paper with initials from some past owner. The sound is in strong VG or even VG+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (background noise was normal in records from Chile), with constant soft crackles and some occasional light clicks here and there, more evident in Side B, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a MEGARARE record with GREEN ODEON RECORDS LABELS and Spanish-written song titles, maybe not for strict Minty minds and audiophiles, but still in a great condition, with still a nice look, clean labels and great sound quality after about 64 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the level of rarity of this Chilean single NEVER SEEN BEFORE and now auctioned by the very first time in eBay!!! We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description. MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records. NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
